In the case of the self drive car rental you have to be a minimum of twenty one years of age. As per the law you are required to have a valid driving license. You should have had the license for at least two years and your track record should be completely clean. Foreign nationals will be asked to produce a valid international driving license.

Generally you will be required to submit a security deposit with the car rental company. The security deposit is relative to the standard of the car that you will be renting out. For example a small car may have a fixed security deposit of INR. 5000 whereas a high end vehicle may require you to deposit twice the amount.

This amount is to be handed over in the form of a cheque e which acts a security against those minor damages that the insurance policy does not cover. The same cheque is returned to the individual once the car is brought back and is clear of any damages.

If you are looking to hire a chauffer driven car in Goa then you will have to pay an additional RS.300 per day. The working day for a chauffer is equal to eight hours. The renter will have to bear the cost of the fuel.
